Sensys has today entered into an exclusive contract with the Spanish systems integrator Telvent, www.telvent.com, for deliveries to the Saudi Arabian company Dallah.
The contract embraces deliveries valued at SEK 160-200 million, and will be called within six months. The contract has been obtained against extremely hard international competition and has been preceded by a very comprehensive test program. Sensys' technology has been subjected to very stringent tests in competition with the world's leading manufacturers of measurement systems for speed and red-light monitoring.
The unique technology developed by Sensys with a target-following and low-energy Doppler radar showed from many aspects in the tests to be superior in comparison with older and more established technologies, such as loops and simple types of non-target-following Doppler radars.
Sensys' technology, which is still perceived as being new and pioneering within the area of speed and red-light monitoring, has obtained its major international breakthrough with this contract.
The procurement procedure is designed so that the end-customer, Dallah, may modify the number of systems, which is why the final value of the order could vary between SEK 160-200 million. Additional orders could also be placed during the period of the project during 2008.
Sensys is currently taking part in a number of major procurement procedures where the projects are characterised by extensive testing and verifications, and where the timeframe is often one to two years.
