SENSYS Traffic AB (publ) has received an order worth approximately SEK 25 million from the Swedish National Road Authority for speed-monitoring systems.
The order covers systems for the development of the Swedish ATC system. Deliveries are expected to be made during the current year.
Since 2006, a total of 977 speed-monitoring systems with technology from Sensys have been installed along the Swedish road network. Several studies have shown that accident rates on the "camera-sections" have fallen and systems are therefore considered to be an important tool to improve road safety.
"Sweden is a leading country within road safety, and we are naturally proud that the SRA uses Sensys' technology for speed-monitoring," says John Frilund, CEO of Sensys Traffic.
Deliveries to the National Road Authority will be made in cooperation with Sensys' Swedish partner, Unitraffic.
SENSYS® Traffic AB develops, produces and markets various products for traffic informatics and traffic safety, including systems for speed and red-light enforcement. The Sensys share is listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm Small Cap.
