The RWASS operates from the side of the road, tracking traffic for speed and distance.
Tracking starts at 150 meters and vehicles exceeding the speed limit trigger the systems audible and/or visible alarm at a set report line.
A photograph of the violation is taken and stored with the time, date, speed and location embedded in the picture. A warning or citation can then be sent to the registered vehicle owner.
